Tuesday July 4th and Wednesday July 5th, there will be no 7:30 AM Mass. Sometimes it gets really difficult to get a substitute. Weekday Mass resumes on Thursday July 7th at the same time. The Saint James Catholic Church Ladies of Charity/Sodality are happy to announce the return of the Seder Meal on April 6th, 2023. The cost is $10 for Adults  and $5 Children (12 & under). All are welcome! Desserts would be happily accepted at time of dinner. Doors open at 5:30. Purchase tickets in advance here.

Fr. Pete joined our Heavenly Father on Thursday Afternoon, February 23, 2023. On Monday March 6th there will be a viewing at St. James from 3pm - 7pm followed by a Vigil Mass at 7:30pm. On Tuesday March 7th there will be a viewing from 8:45am - 9:45am followed by the funeral Mass at 10am. Please join us in the Hughes room for a reception following the funeral Mass.

Dear Parishioners, We are about to make the commitment for the Annual Appeal 2023 of the Archdiocese of Washington. Let me thank you, again, for your cooperation last year! I ask you to prayerfully consider your gift for this year 2023. As you know, the Annual Appeal is different from your weekly offertory giving to the parish. There are three things that make the Appeal special: First, the Annual Appeal unites us with our Archbishop in serving the many, charitable needs of the Church in Washington. Second, the Annual Appeal funds ministries that our parish could not sustain on our own, such as seminarian formation, campus ministries programs and Deaf and disabilities ministries. Third, the Annual Appeal supports our parish ministerial life, from schools and catechesis, to family and pro-life ministries, to many more in between. Next weekend will be our commitment weekend. The obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days is being reinstated beginning on Saturday, June 26, 2021 and Sunday, June 27, 2021. All healthy individuals are expected to attend Sunday Eucharist.
